View Transcription. This roll of honour consists of 537 hand painted names of City of Winnipeg employees who served in the Second World War. The names are organized by the department they worked in, and stars are placed next to the names of those who died during the war. The title at the top consists of elaborate calligraphy, as well as a Union Jack flag rising out of the letters. The centre of the print showcases an image of a knight's helmet and an elaborately sheathed sword above an image of the City of Winnipeg seal. The bottom features a quote from the ancient Greek leader Pericles, which Duthie chose himself.

Series consists of the following: 1) copper time capsule with tin/lead solder 2) audio recording of the laying of the cornerstone ceremony held on November 30, 1965, 3) envelope submitted by the Police Department containing a list and photos of employees and a photo of the Rupert Avenue Police Station (now demolished), 4) envelope submitted by the Fire Department containing a list and photos of employees, cap badges, uniform buttons, and a procedure manual, 5) envelope submitted by the Signals Department containing a list of employees, 6) envelope submitted by the City Magistrate containing a list and photos of employees and court statistics from 1964.

Item consists of an audio recording of the laying of the cornerstone ceremony held on November 30, 1965 at the Public Safety Building. It records the voices of Mayor Stephen Juba, Chief Constable George Blow, Fire Chief Cecil Leckie, City Signals Engineer Jack Clarke, Deputy Mayor and Ald. Edith Tennant, Ald. Leonard Claydon, Ald. J. Cropo, Ald. Joseph Zuken, Ald. Slaw Rebchuk, and Contractor Cecil Rilkoff. It was recorded by the City Signals Engineer, Jack Clarke.

The bus was on route to north Main Street and McAdam Avenue, and bears the face of transit's "Transit Tom" mascot, as well as text advertising it as the last trolley bus. Left to right are Transit Division employees Don Morrison (Special Projects Officer), Robert M. Simister (Superintendent, Electrical Distribution Branch), Walter Marshal, J. A. (Tony) Painchaud (Assistant Superintendent of Transportation Operation), Roy W. Church (Manager of Transit Operations), Robert G. Ferguson (Superintendent of Schedules), and C. E.
