Parks Featurettes

Photographs of various parks and park goers around the Greater Winnipeg area, as well as a small amount of textual records created by the Metro government describing the photos, their collection, and their use. Photographs were collected and used by Allan Bready, Metro's Information Officer, as part of a publication project of park featurettes.

The photo is marked "One-way Street" and includes a cut line that reads "...gave way to the new". "The Metropolitan" - Final Edition

File contains photographs collected and/or commissioned by the Metropolitan Corporation of Greater Winnipeg for the publication "The Metropolitan". The photos' content includes parks, transit, aerials of the Greater Winnipeg Area, roads and bridges, and Metro events. Most of the photos have marks and text that have to do with their size and layout in the publication, as well as cutline captions.

Trolley bus bound for Corydon Avenue in front of the Legislature Building

A photograph of a trolley bus in front of the Manitoba Legislature Building. The bus signs indicate it is bound for Corydon Avenue. According to handwritten text on the photo's reverse, the bus was made by Canada Car in 1948, has a 249 inch wheel base and can seat 44 passangers. The photo is also marked "Metro Transit Publicity". The photographer is unknown.
