Subseries consists of portraits of the Mayors of Winnipeg. They are of various sizes, generally 30-50 inches by 30-50 inches. The portraits began to be painted in 1902 and were subsequently painted as each Mayor sat in office.The first 29 portraits were painted by V.A. Long. The rest were painting by various artists.
Photograph shows Alfred J. Andrews (1865-1950), Alderman of Winnipeg, 1894-1897, Mayor of Winnipeg, 1898-1899, and a leading member of the Citizens' Committee of One Thousand during the Winnipeg General Strike.
